This policy explains what data the game Crazy Potato Farm (the "app") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app is made by Hyounsik Lee, an individual developer ("we").
1. In short
- A single farm is saved only on your device. You don't need an account and we don't receive your farm.
- A multi farm needs you to sign in with Apple or Google, and is saved on our servers so friends can visit and play with you.
- We collect crash reports to fix bugs. We do not sell your data, and the app has no ads at the moment.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account ID and the email address from your Apple or Google account (Apple may give a private relay address) | You sign in for a multi farm | To know which farms are yours and to keep your account |
| Farm saves, farm names, nickname, friends you invited or who invited you, and their permissions | You play a multi farm | To save the farm online and let friends visit |
| Connection details for playing together (session information and the network addresses your device offers for a direct connection) | You host or join a friend's game | To connect your devices to each other |
| Push token, platform and app language | You allow notifications | To tell you when a friend opens their farm, in your language |
| Reports: who reported whom, the reported player's name, the messages reported and the session | You report a player | To review abuse and keep the game safe |
| Players you blocked | You block a player | So you no longer meet them |
| Crash reports: what went wrong, device model, OS and app version, an installation identifier | The app crashes or hits an error | To find and fix bugs |
| Device attestation (Apple App Attest, Google Play Integrity) | The app talks to our servers | To check requests come from the real app |
Messages you type while playing together go straight to the players in that session. We do not store them unless someone reports them.
3. Who processes the data
We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) to sign you in, store multi farm data, send notifications, collect crash reports and verify the app. The data is stored on Google Cloud servers, which may be outside your country, including the United States and South Korea. Google processes it only on our behalf.
When you play with friends, your device connects directly to theirs, so they can see your network address. If you join a dedicated server run by someone else, that server receives your nickname, an installation identifier, your network address and your game actions. Those servers are not run by us and their operators are responsible for that data.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and multi farm data: until you delete your account. After you ask to delete it in the app's settings you can cancel by signing in again within 7 days; after that the account and its data are deleted.
- Deleting a multi farm removes its save, members, invites and session data.
- Crash reports: kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
- Reports: kept as long as needed to deal with them.
5. Your choices and rights
- Play single farms only to use the app without an account.
- Turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
- You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop its processing, by emailing us. We will answer within 30 days.
6. Children
Online features (multi farms and playing together) are not meant for children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and our database rules let each player read and write only what they are allowed to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. Changes
The game is still in development. If what we collect changes (for example, if we add ads), we will update this page and the date above before the change reaches the app.
